Isawa onsen is a railway station in Tokyo.

Isawa-Onsen Station (石和温泉駅) is a ground-level station with a station building over the tracks, in Fuefuki, Yamanashi Prefecture. East Japan Railway Company and Japan Freight Railway Company run it. It opened on 11 June 1903 as Isawa Station.

History

Isawa Station opened on 11 June 1903 on the national Chūō Line, between Hatsukano and Kōfu, together with several other new stations. On 12 October 1909 the line was named the Chūō East Line, later the Chūō Line. In 1936 the old station building came into use. It was used until 2014, when the station moved to a temporary building for rebuilding.

On 14 March 1985 luggage handling ended. On 1 April 1987 the station passed to East Japan Railway Company (JR East) and Japan Freight Railway Company (JR Freight). On 1 April 1993 the station was renamed Isawa-Onsen. Freight train service ended on 16 July 1999. On 16 October 2004 Suica became usable, and the station joined the Tokyo commuter area.

On 1 March 2007 a reserved-seat ticket machine was installed. On 7 March 2014 the station moved to a temporary station building while the station building over the tracks was built. On 25 March 2015 the new station building over the tracks came into use. On 10 February 2016 the departure melody was changed to Takeda-bushi (武田節). On 12 February 2016 a free passage on the north exit side came into use.

On 16 March 2019 all limited express Azusa trains began passing through the station, and only Kaiji stopped. On 14 March 2020 Azusa stops resumed, for some morning and evening trips. On 1 April 2021 the station was outsourced. On 30 November 2022 the Midori no Madoguchi closed. On 1 December 2022 a talking reserved-seat ticket machine was installed.
