Katsutadai Station (勝田台駅) is in Yachiyo, Chiba Prefecture. Keisei Electric Railway runs it on the Keisei Main Line. It opened on 1 May 1968.
History
Keisei Electric Railway applied for a new station between Keisei Ōwada Station (京成大和田駅) and Shiizu Station on 17 August 1967. The station opened on 1 May 1968.
On 16 June 1973 the station became a stop for commuter express trains. In October 1991, Keisei, Yachiyo City and Tōyō Rapid Railway signed a memorandum on connecting facilities and a north-south passage at the station. In December 1992, Yachiyo City proposed a complex space development project, the first of its kind in Japan.
On 30 March 1997 the station's ticket gates moved underground. An underground passage linked the station with Tōyō-Katsutadai Station (東葉勝田台駅).
Elevator construction between the platforms and the ticket gates began on 5 April 2010. The elevators opened on 14 August 2010. Earlier, from October 2008, gates for PASMO and Suica only were installed, and a down escalator was built, finishing on 24 March 2009. More elevators opened on 19 March 2011 at the concourse and beside the north exit.
In March 2014 the station kiosk MiNiSHOP became a FamilyMart. The commuter pass counter closed on 15 April 2022. On 11 July 2023 the underground entrance on the south side, on the Keisei side, closed for elevator work. On 28 June 2024 the elevator and escalator from the south exit to street level were completed.
