Keisei Tateishi Station (京成立石駅) in Katsushika, Tokyo, is a surface station with two platforms, run by Keisei Electric Railway. It opened on 3 November 1912 as Tateishi Station (立石駅).
History
The station opened on 3 November 1912 as Tateishi Station (立石駅). In 1923, the street-running section between Yotsugi and Tateishi was changed to its own track, and the station moved to its present site. Farmland around the new station was reorganised to build up the area. On 18 November 1931 it was renamed Keisei Tateishi Station.
The station building was rebuilt on 2 October 1968. Work on a lift for the up platform began on 1 October 2006, and the lift opened on 28 February 2007. Another lift was later installed at the east exit, and a wheelchair lift was set up at the front of the down platform. On 17 July 2010 express trains stopped running here, so only local trains stop.
Work to raise the tracks onto an elevated structure began in 2016. On 1 October 2019 a visually impaired person fell from the platform onto the tracks and was hit by a train, and died. The limited-time arrival melody was stopped after this. The limited-time Keisei Tateishi Plarail Station (けいせいたていしプラレール駅) ended on 10 April 2020. On 12 July 2020 a theme song from Takara Tomy's Tomica and Plarail, Norimono GO!GO! Paradise (のりものGO!GO!パラダイス), was used as the arrival melody for a limited time.
On 28 October 2023 the elevated station building closed. A temporary underground ticket gate for down trains and a temporary ground-level gate at the east end of the up platform opened, with gates set by destination. On 30 November 2024 the down line moved to a temporary down line.
Japanese Wikipedia lists the following as plans, not completed work. In March 2026 the up line was to move to a temporary up line, leaving one platform face with two tracks. The up line was planned to move onto the elevated structure in April 2028, and the down line in March 2030.
