History
The station opened on 24 December 1905. In March 1952, the station structure became two platform faces with four tracks, and passing facilities (for one train to wait while another goes by) began to be used.
On 21 February 1965, limited express stops were moved to the neighbouring Kanagawa-Shinmachi Station (神奈川新町駅), and Koyasu became a limited express pass-through station. On 31 July 1999, a timetable revision ended express services south of Keikyu Kamata, so Koyasu became a local-only stop. In 2010, when the Airport Express (now the Express) was set up, Koyasu was also a pass-through station.
