Haneda Airport Terminal 1 and 2 Station (羽田空港第1・第2ターミナル駅) is an underground station at Haneda Airport, run by Keikyu. It opened on 18 November 1998.

History

A railway licence was applied for on 18 December 1989. It covered a line between Haneda Station (羽田駅), now 天空橋駅, and this station. Construction began in February 1992.

A departure ceremony was held on 16 November 1998, before the opening. Officials from the transport ministry, Keikyu, Tokyo and Ota Ward attended. A priest from 穴守稲荷神社 led a safety prayer, and a decorated train left for Narita Airport. The station opened on 18 November 1998.

The station opened as Haneda Airport Station (羽田空港駅) on 18 November 1999, when the airport line was extended. Airport Kaitoku and Airport Tokkyu services began. The east exit opened on 1 December 2004, when the Terminal 2 building opened.

The arrival melody 'Akai Densha' by the band Kururi (くるり) started on 18 November 2005. On 18 November 2008, at the anniversary of the opening, the melody was rearranged and some trains got special livery and stickers. On 16 May 2010 the express was renamed Airport Express (エアポート急行), and Airport Kaitoku trains ran non-stop to Shinagawa Station (品川駅).

On 21 October 2010 the station was renamed Haneda Airport Domestic Terminal Station (羽田空港国内線ターミナル駅), when the international terminal station opened. Platform doors came into use on 21 February 2019. On 14 March 2020 the station took its current name after the terminal building was renamed. Digital signs were added to the platform doors on 10 November 2020. Work on a pull-in track (引上線) began on 8 August 2022, and a safety prayer for it was held on 6 December 2022 at Haneda Airport Galaxy Hall (羽田空港ギャラクシーホール).
