Inagi-Naganuma Station (稲城長沼駅) is an elevated station in Inagi, Tokyo, on the Nambu Line, run by East Japan Railway Company. It opened on 1 November 1927.
History
The Nambu Railway (南武鉄道) opened the station on 1 November 1927 when its line from Noborito to Daimaru opened. On 1 April 1944 the Nambu Railway was nationalized, and the station became part of the Nambu Line under the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
Freight handling ended on 1 March 1976, and luggage handling ended on 14 March 1985. On 1 April 1987 the station passed to East Japan Railway Company. An automatic ticket gate opened on 21 September 1993.
Suica became usable on 18 November 2001. Rapid trains returned to the Nambu Line on 9 April 2011, after the Great East Japan Earthquake delayed the planned start. Weekday rapid service was paused on 24 June 2011 and restored on 12 September 2011.
The down tracks were raised on 24 December 2011, so down trains and trains for Kawasaki that start here leave from the elevated platform. The up tracks were raised on 23 December 2013. Platform 1 came into use on 1 March 2015.
The staffed Midori no Madoguchi ticket office closed on 28 February 2020, and station work was outsourced on 1 April 2020. Smart platform doors came into use on some platforms on 19 February 2024, and on the rest on 4 February 2025.
