Kita-Ayase Station (北綾瀬駅) is an elevated station in Adachi, Tokyo, run by Tokyo Metro. It serves the Chiyoda Line. It opened on 20 December 1979.
History
The site was first used in December 1969 as a signal station for trains going in and out of Ayase depot. On 1 September 1978 the Ministry of Transport approved a station here. On 12 December 1978 the name Kita-Ayase was chosen. Construction started in February 1979. The station opened on 20 December 1979.
Platform doors came into use on 23 March 2002. On 1 April 2004 the station passed to Tokyo Metro when Eidan was privatised. On 18 March 2007 PASMO became usable. On 12 September 2008 a solar power system was installed on the platform roof. On 27 October 2018 a departure melody was introduced.
On 16 March 2019 the platform was extended for longer trains, and through trains to Yoyogi-Uehara began running. On the same day a new exit and the south gate opened, and the former gate was renamed the central gate. On 19 December 2020 the first exit and the north gate opened.
On 30 March 2021 the first phase of the shopping facility M'av Kita-Ayase Lieta opened under the elevated tracks, and the second phase opened on 30 June 2021. On 19 June 2025 the station square opened. On 20 June 2025 the sixth exit and a pedestrian deck came into use.
