The Tokyo Waterfront New Transit Corporation (now Yurikamome Inc.) opened the Yurikamome Line from Shinbashi Station (temporary station) to Ariake Station, although the station building that would later become Shiodome Station had been completed, it did not open due to the surrounding area being redeveloped and the access road to the station not yet opened.
