Chitose-Funabashi Station (千歳船橋駅) is an elevated station in Setagaya, Tokyo, on the Odakyu Odawara Line, run by Odakyu Electric Railway. It opened on 1 April 1927.
History
The station opened on 1 April 1927. From 1 September 1937 it was a stop for direct trains to Katase-Enoshima, and direct trains toward Odawara passed through. In September 1948 a junkyu (semi-express) service was added and stopped here.
The design of the elevated station building was chosen on 16 April 1998. The down line was elevated on 28 October 2001. The up line was elevated on 28 July 2002, using a temporary platform. The up platform moved to a permanent platform on 14 December 2003.
The up express track came into use on 23 May 2004, and the down express track on 26 September 2004. Section express service started on 11 December 2004. Station numbering was introduced in January 2014.
Section express service ended on 26 March 2016. From 17 March 2018 Chiyoda Line through trains began stopping here, both junkyu and local trains. On 24 November 2019 the approach melody Shiretoko Ryojo (知床旅情) began. Platform doors came into use on 19 June 2025.
