Izumi-Tamagawa Station (和泉多摩川駅) is an elevated station in Komae, Tokyo, on the Odakyu Odawara Line, run by Odakyu Electric Railway. It opened on 1 April 1927.
History
The station opened on 1 April 1927. From 1 September 1937 it was a stop for direct trains to Katase-Enoshima, and direct trains toward Odawara passed through. In September 1948 the Sakura semi-express was added and stopped here. Semi-express trains stopped here from 1951, and from 5 November 1964 they passed through.
Work to add extra tracks between Kitami and this station began in 1989. The station was elevated on 26 March 1995, with the up line on a temporary platform. The up platform moved to a permanent platform on 1 December 1996. The current station building opened on 27 April 1997. The extra tracks came into use on 23 June 1997.
Rotary and bus service opened in April 1999. A ticket gate on the Komae side opened in April 2003. Section express service started on 11 December 2004. Station numbering was introduced in January 2014.
Section express service ended on 26 March 2016. From 17 March 2018 Chiyoda Line through trains began stopping here. From 15 March 2025 the junkyu express trains, all through to the Chiyoda Line, stopped here. Platform doors are planned to come into use within fiscal 2026.
