Noborito is a railway station in Tokyo.

Noborito Station (登戸駅) is in Tama Ward, Kawasaki. JR East runs the Nambu Line here, and Odakyu Electric Railway runs the Odakyu Odawara Line. The station opened on 9 March 1927 as the terminus of the Nambu Railway line from Kawasaki.

History

The station opened on 9 March 1927 as the terminus of the Nambu Railway line from Kawasaki. The Odakyu station, named Inada-Tamagawa, opened on 1 April 1927. The Nambu Railway line was extended on 1 November 1927 to a stop now called Minami-Tama, and the station became a middle stop. The Nambu Railway was nationalised on 1 April 1944.

The station was renamed Noborito-Tamagawa on 1 April 1955 and Noborito on 1 April 1958. The platforms were made long enough for six-car trains in October 1957. Freight handling ended on 1 April 1972, and parcel handling on 14 March 1985.

JR East took over on 1 April 1987. Automatic ticket gates came into use on 25 January 1994. Work to add a third track between Noborito and Mukogaoka-yuen began in November 1999. Temporary tracks were used on the down line from 29 July 2001 and on the up line from 30 September 2001. Suica could be used from 18 November 2001.

The Tama Express and Shonan Express began on 23 March 2002. The up line moved to a new platform on 26 January 2003, and the down line on 3 October 2004. A section semi-express began on 11 December 2004. The melody changed on 15 June 2006. A new bridge-type station building opened on 17 June 2006, with a footbridge to the Odakyu station. PASMO could be used from 18 March 2007.

Platform doors came into use on the first and second platforms in March 2021, and on the third and fourth in May 2021. Platform doors for the first and third platforms came into use in June 2023. A slit-frame platform door for the second platform came into use in February 2025. A rapid express that starts here began running on weekday down trains in March 2025.
