Keisei-Takasago Station (京成高砂駅) is a station in Takasago, Katsushika, Tokyo, run by Keisei Electric Railway and Hokuso-Railway. It serves the Keisei Kanamachi Line, Keisei Main Line (KS) and Narita Sky Access Line (KS-SA), and it opened on 3 November 1912 as Magarikane Station (曲金駅).
History
The station opened on 3 November 1912 as Magarikane Station (曲金駅). It was first placed closer to Keisei-Koiwa, at the point where the main line and the Kanamachi Line split. On 26 June 1913, it was renamed Takasago Station. Pilgrims to Shibamata Taishakuten said that the name Magarikane was unlucky, and the station was renamed for that reason.
On 18 November 1931, Takasago Station was renamed Keisei-Takasago Station (京成高砂駅). On 30 December 1954, during improvement work, the station was moved about 170 m to its current site.
On 31 March 1991, the Hokusō and Kōdan Line was extended to this station. It is now the Hokusō Line of Hokuso-Railway. Through service with the Keisei Main Line began, and this station became a transfer station. On 1 March 1997, the concourse expansion work was completed.
On 5 July 2010, the elevated platform for the Kanamachi Line was completed. The timetable change that came with it ended through service between the Kanamachi Line and the main line. On 17 July 2010, the Narita Airport Line, also known as the Narita Sky Access Line, opened. It links this station to Narita Airport Station via the Hokusō Line. This made the station a stop for Access Express trains.
On 17 November 2022, a derailment happened inside the depot in the station yard. The cause was a train driver breaking an internal rule, which damaged the points.
