Kitami Station (喜多見駅) is an elevated station in Setagaya, Tokyo. The Odakyu Electric Railway runs it. It serves the Odakyu Odawara Line (OH). It opened on 1 April 1927.
History
Kitami Station opened on 1 April 1927 on the Odakyu line. From 1 September 1937 it was a stop for trains through to Katase-Enoshima, and trains through to Odawara passed it. In September 1948 a Sakura semi-express was added, and it stopped here. In 1951 the station became a semi-express stop. On 5 November 1964 semi-express trains began passing it.
Work on four tracks between this station and Izumi-Tamagawa began in July 1989. The Kitami depot was completed in spring 1994. Work on four tracks between Setagaya-Daita and this station began in December 1994. On 26 March 1995 the up and down lines were moved onto an elevated structure. The up-line platform moved to a permanent platform on 1 December 1996. The current station building opened on 27 April 1997. Four-track operation began on 23 June 1997. Odakyu Marché opened on 10 September 1998.
The grade separation between Setagaya-Daita and this station was completed in December 2002. On 11 December 2004 a section semi-express was added, and it stopped here. On 26 March 2016 the section semi-express was abolished, and only local trains stopped again.
Station numbering OH 15 started in January 2014. On 17 March 2018 Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line through trains began stopping here, and from the same day semi-express trains passed on the local-track side next to the platforms. On 15 March 2025 semi-express trains, all running through to the Chiyoda Line, began stopping here. Platform doors started on 19 September 2025.
