History
Minami-Kurihashi Station (南栗橋駅) opened on 26 August 1986. Before then some Asakusa trains turned back at Satte, and the opening extended those trains to here. On 19 March 2003 through services of the Hibiya Line (up trains only), the Hanzōmon Line and the Den-en-toshi Line began south of here. On 18 March 2006 the new Kukan Kaisoku (区間快速) service began stopping here, and the older services were renamed. On 20 March 2006 the limited express Kirifuri was added, running from Asakusa to here.
On 23 March 2010 Kuki city was formed by merging four towns, and the address changed to Kuki. On 4 November 2011 a departure melody was introduced. On 17 March 2012 Tobu's station numbering gave the station a number. On 16 March 2013 the Hibiya Line through services were extended to here, and a holding track was built on the Asakusa side. On 21 April 2017 the timetable change ended the through services past this station. The limited express Kirifuri, the only limited express stopping here, was also cancelled, so the station stopped being a limited express stop.
On 6 June 2020 more trains ran between here and Tobu Utsunomiya. A signal melody (Mozart's symphony) was introduced on some platforms for the one-person operation of some down local trains. On 12 March 2022 the last up section express ended here, and all services north of here became local trains, with all trains operated by one person. On 18 March 2023 some limited express trains began to stop here again, after six years. On 14 March 2026 the new up limited express Liberty Kegon began running from here.
